Find your Core Confidence
Be happy with who you are, and confidence will follow
Today I want to tackle a question that I think is crucial when we look at improving Core Confidence.
We live in a world full of other people just like us. We meet these people every day and interact together, and most of our experiences come from these interactions.
Most of these experiences between people have the potential to be brilliant. But when our Confidence suffers, it’s because these experiences are interactions aren’t working in the most effective way.
Blame and comparison erode confidence
What tends to happen is that egos will clash. Negative emotions and experiences will generate comparison and blame: We will compare ourselves to others and / or will blame others for what happens to us. Those are the two elements that complicate things between people and in turn, will dent our own Confidence.

Our Core Confidence relies on how much we love and value ourselves, and that will influence who we are as people and how we react to situations and other people we encounter.
Who you are is key to confidence
In order for our Core Confidence to become stronger and remain strong, we need to consider the following very seriously:
What makes us who we are? What qualities and ideas do we know are true about ourselves? These qualities are like fuel to our Confidence. They strengthen it and make it last.
What tends to happen is that we forget to look at our own qualities as what makes us who we are and we look outside of ourselves for the standard of what we feel is acceptable to society. And that’s how we forget who we really are and what we bring to the world.
We forget that what is within us is within our control to adapt, evolve and grow, and that nobody else really has the power to make us feel inferior. We choose to feel inferior by looking at others and making those comparisons.
There’s always going to be someone who is thinner or better looking than us. There’s always going to be someone who is going to seem more appealing and attractive and make us feel jealousy in certain situations. There’s always going to be someone who seems to know more than us about a certain subject…

But is that enough to stop us believing in who we really are?
Imperfections make you, you!
Everything we are and can be is within us. We need to look deep within to remind ourselves of what’s really there, and then act in line with our values and life compass.
We forget we are not meant to be perfect!
For me, being human is an opportunity to take our imperfections, and make them better by learning and adapting constantly! We never really reach perfection because we’re not meant to! If we did, our journey would stop and we would have nowhere else to go!
Something to ask yourself
So think about this and let me know what you think! The following questions can be useful when you consider how this affects you and your life:
What makes you who you are? Write it down. I know…it feels really silly but it’s really important. List everything good and not so good, because it’s all a part of who you are. Remember, perfection doesn’t exist. In fact, the word and concept of perfection should be erased from your mind. It’s harmful and counterproductive.

If you do find you compare yourself to other people and it doesn’t feel good, break the thought process by reminding yourself of those qualities you know are within you and gently keep running them through your mind like you would rub lotion on your body. This will nourish your Core Confidence and help you move forward.
You can change your thoughts
It’s very important that you understand that you are responsible for your choices. Even those you’re not really aware that you’re making. Your thoughts are an important part of this, and the good news is, they can be changed. Guided Meditations are incredibly useful with reaching your subconscious thoughts and you could even listen to the recordings as you fall asleep. As long as you do it consistently, you will notice a difference with time.
