Where Will You Be in Five Years
I recently asked a question on Facebook. If nothing in your life changes, will you be happy in five years? I received many yes responses. But I wonder how happy can you be if growth does not exist in your life?
Julia Child went from cooking school to receiving an Emmy for her cooking show in five years. Think of all the potential growth an individual can have in this amount of time.
First of all, begin with thinking about your life five years from now. If you can depict any image or dream for your life what will it be?
Based off that very vision, begin to make goals for yourself. Keep the goals in a place where you can see them each morning and evening. You must keep your goals, visions and dreams at the forefront of your mind. If not they’ll get lost in the shuffle of life.
Just imagine, if changing careers is your dream. You can complete a four year degree in that time. As a matter of fact, at some schools you can earn a master’s degree in five years. It’s your life. Are you going to live out your dreams or let them get lost in time?
